A 21 page presentation describing the traditions of Christmas in France. It covers St Nicholas’ Day, decorations, food and Epiphany. Each slide has a short piece of text accompanied by a picture.
It could be used as part of a lesson or for an assembly for children aged 4 -11.
This is a lesson plan and resources for a beginners French lesson to use with KS2. It involves children learning the vocabulary for ‘Happy Christmas,’ as well as six decorations in French.
The plan gives details of a whole class game to use as a starter, how to teach the vocabulary, a paired reading activity, whole class listening activity, a simple writing activity and plenary whole class game. It is highly interactive and allows children to practise a range of language skills.

A 30 page pack of fun Christmas themed activities aimed at 5-7 year olds.
There are a mixture of numeracy, literacy, phonics and art activities perfect for the end of term. Examples include counting carol singers, writing acrostic poems and completing sequences among many others. Children can work independently on activities during this busy part of the year or they could be used as part of a whole lesson. A colour and black and white version of the 30 page booklet is included.
A great way to keep learning going right up to the end of term. I used this booklet with my year 1 class last year and they really enjoyed it!

Year 2 Bonfire Night Comprehension Bundle / Guy Fawkes
This resource is a set of 3 art lessons based around the theme of harvest for Key Stage 1. Children create three pictures based on Van Gogh’s series of wheatfield paintings. The key skills that are taught include creating different tones and shades with paint, pastel and pencil and experimenting with shapes and patterns.
The lesson plans are very detailed and include a list of any resources you will need to get out of the cupboard. There are also details of curriculum links and examples of work from my class. I have included the PowerPoints I used for the series of lessons, which contains information about the artist, examples of the artists’ work around which the lessons are based and information about how bread is made. Also included are templates for the children to use.

This is a set of three lesson plans and resources to teach children about the Jewish holiday of Passover. It is suitable for ages 7 - 11. There is also a 41 slide PowerPoint presentation to accompany the lessons which includes a topic introduction, the Passover story and details of how Jewish people celebrate Passover today.
Lesson 1 teaches children about the story of Passover and includes a drama activity and a literacy task.
Lesson 2 covers the theme of freedom in the Passover story and includes a drama activity and a poem writing task.
Lesson 3 teaches children about Passover celebrations today and includes an art and a literacy activity.
Each lesson starts with an introductory session and finishes with a plenary session. The plan includes three differentiated levels of objectives.

Year 1 Easter End of Term Activity Bundle
This is a presentation on the explorer, Christopher Columbus, who discovered the ‘New World.’
Use it as part of a lesson or for an assembly. The presentation covers Christopher’s childhood, his early sailing years, his voyage and his discovery. The last part of the presentation includes some interesting questions to provoke discussion or for further exploration.
Columbus is one of the key historical figures mentioned in the KS1 curriculum, so this presentation would be perfect for introducing the explorer.
A collection of five non-fiction comprehension activities for year 2. Each booklet comes in 3 differentiated levels and includes answers.
